Interplant Roses is a family owned company, founded in 1962. The company is now led by the third generation: Robert Ilsink as CEO and Martin Ilsink as CFO. In 2020, even the fourth generation of Ilsinks joined the company!
What once started in the Netherlands as a small family business has since grown to an international company operating worldwide. Decades of experience, a strong vision to the future and lots of ambition are evidently key drivers.

The headquarters are located in the centre of the Netherlands. To test the new developments, Interplant has its own test facilities in Kenya. A large network of agents and representatives stretches around the globe in order keep that close relationship with customers, wherever they are. Innovation is their daily mission, it’s the core of their business. At their Dutch location more than 150.000 crossings a year are made to create exciting new rose varieties.
“The initial testing of all varieties takes place in our greenhouses in the Netherlands. We use sophisticated computer software to assist us in the hybridisation of new rose varieties. However, the most important element in our quest for optimisation is our know-how and skills obtained over many years of breeding.”
With an excellent team of highly qualified and experienced professionals as the backbone of their company, Interplant Roses is able to develop a wide range of rose varieties suitable for various markets, varying from retail to the luxury segment. In addition, they are worldwide leader in spray rose breeding, being the first to develop spray roses for the cut rose industry. It’s not without reason that their motto is:
